Gandhinagar: The XIXth District and Station Commanders’ Conference (DSCC) and XVIth Regional Works Conference 2026 concluded at the Coast Guard Regional Headquarters (North West) in Gandhinagar after two days of deliberations on operational preparedness and maritime security.
The conference, held on April 17 and 18, was chaired by Inspector General Tekur Sashi Kumar, TM, Commander Coast Guard Region (North West), and witnessed participation from District and Station Commanders, superintendents and officers-in-charge from across the region.
Discussions focused on strengthening operational readiness, human resource management, infrastructure development and technical capabilities within the region’s area of responsibility. Officials also reviewed ongoing initiatives and explored strategies to enhance efficiency and coordination.
Addressing the participants, the Regional Commander praised personnel for their professionalism and operational excellence in safeguarding India’s maritime frontiers. He highlighted the need to further strengthen technological capabilities and infrastructure while maintaining a high level of preparedness.
Key deliberations included addressing emerging challenges, sharing best practices and formulating a roadmap for effective execution of the Indian Coast Guard’s mandate. Emphasis was also laid on continuous training, physical fitness and mental well-being of personnel.
The conference reaffirmed the Coast Guard’s commitment to maritime safety, security and environmental protection, aligning with the broader national vision of a secure and resilient maritime domain.
