Ahmedabad: Omspace Rocket & Exploration Private Limited, an Indian space-tech startup nurtured at CrAdLE (Centre for Advancing & Launching Enterprises), the Technology Business Incubator at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), has successfully secured $3 million in a pre-seed funding round. This investment, spearheaded by a Family Office and an Angel Investor, represents a significant milestone in Omspace’s mission to develop Infinity One, a homegrown, modular launch vehicle tailored for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite missions.
Founded in 2020 by a dedicated team of engineers and innovators — Dr. Ravindra Raj Binod Mistri, Mr. Maulik Mota, and Ms. Stutika Padamshali — Omspace is based in Ahmedabad and has a global presence in Dubai, UAE. Their flagship innovation, Infinity One, is designed to deliver payloads of around 350 kg to altitudes reaching up to 800 km. With a strong focus on fuel efficiency and cost-effectiveness, this launch system aims to provide a dependable launch solution for India’s expanding space-tech industry.
The recently acquired funds will be allocated for:
- Completing and initiating test launches of the Infinity One prototype
- Expanding Omspace’s research and development team by hiring specialized talent
- Enhancing the company’s manufacturing infrastructure and ground systems
