Ahmedabad Hosts Homoeopathy Walk to Promote Public Health Awareness on World Homoeopathy Day

Ahmedabad: In a significant public health awareness initiative, the Gujarat Homoeopathy Council, in association with Arihant Homoeopathy Medical College, organized a “Homoeopathy Walk” in Ahmedabad to mark World Homoeopathy Day. The event was held at the Riverfront Event Center in Paldi on Sunday morning at 6:30 AM.

Observed annually on April 10, World Homoeopathy Day commemorates the birth anniversary of Dr. Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of homoeopathy. The Ahmedabad event brought together over 800 homoeopathy practitioners from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, highlighting the growing role of alternative and complementary medicine in preventive and holistic healthcare.

According to Dr. Rajesh Mahale, President of the Gujarat Homoeopathy Council, the initiative aimed to address misconceptions surrounding homoeopathy and strengthen its credibility as a safe and effective system of treatment.

Dr. Vikas Shukla, Council Member, emphasized that increasing awareness through community engagement is essential to improving public understanding and acceptance of homoeopathic care.

The event saw active participation from multiple academic institutions, including Arihant Homoeopathy Medical College, Ahmedabad Homoeopathic College, Monarch Homoeopathic College, Ananya College of Homoeopathy, Swaminarayan Homoeopathic College, and Gandhinagar Homoeopathic Medical College.As part of the outreach, a street play was conducted following the walk to educate the public on the principles, benefits, and applications of homoeopathy in day-to-day healthcare.The program was attended by key academic and medical professionals, including Dr. Anitaben (Principal, Arihant Homoeopathy Medical College), Dr. Chintan Pandya (Vice Principal), Dr. Nishaben, Dr. Vinitaben, and other dignitaries.
