Sharing details about the event, Jitendra Chopra, President of ALEMAI, said, “ALUMEX India 2025 is a landmark initiative that reflects the strength and aspirations of the Indian aluminium extrusion industry. The show serves as a strategic platform to drive business growth, promote innovation, and reduce the nation’s reliance on imports, while enhancing India’s position as a key player in the global aluminium extrusion market. By bringing together leading voices from India and abroad, ALUMEX India aims to shape the industry’s future. ALEMAI remains dedicated to supporting the sector’s sustained growth and global integration”

The conference will feature dignitaries from the Ministry of Mines, the Ministry of External Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce & Industries, the MSME Ministry, DPIIT, international aluminium councils, industry stalwarts, innovators and technology providers, and thought leaders from allied industries such as construction, electric mobility, solar, and packaging. Key discussion areas will include the promotion and uptake of aluminium extrusion profile and section products, production-linked incentive (PLI) schemes to strengthen indigenous manufacturing capacities, global outreach opportunities for Indian MSMEs, and efforts to dispel common misconceptions that hinder domestic usage.

Exhibitors at ALUMEX India 2025 will include suppliers of aluminium extrusion machines and raw materials, fabricators, extruders, anodisers, hardware suppliers, and allied industries such as architects, automotive component manufacturers, solar panel and electric vehicle manufacturers. The Buyer-Seller Meets at ALUMEX India will facilitate targeted B2B interactions, creating valuable opportunities for collaboration, sourcing, and business expansion across the aluminium extrusion value chain.

Visitors will also span a wide spectrum, including aluminium processing plants, the packaging sector, electronics and electrical goods manufacturers, solar energy equipment suppliers, aluminium alloyed and casting product suppliers, and many more. As part of the outreach efforts, a special Gujarat Connect meeting was convened to boost awareness about the show and actively encourage members for collective participation, fostering greater engagement and collaboration within the community.

ALUMEX India 2025 is expected to catalyse significant growth opportunities for Gujarat, which has emerged as a leading hub for aluminium extrusion in the country. Some of India’s largest aluminium companies have established operations in the state. Gujarat is widely recognised as a major centre for aluminium extrusion, with a thriving ecosystem of manufacturers and allied industries. In addition, Rajkot hosts a robust cluster of aluminium foundries, several of which are engaged in aluminium extrusion and related production, strengthening Gujarat’s position as a powerhouse in this sector. Out of approximately 400-450 aluminium extrusion plants in India, more than 225 are members of ALEMAI, representing MSMEs to Nifty 50 companies.
